I don't think this game is for everyone due to how difficult it really is. If not, watch some gameplay videos on it. It's currently in the 2020 December bundle. If you have Humble Bundle you should pick this game up. Lots of testing to see what works, and what doesn't. I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm constantly trying to find a new strategy. There are so many different spells in this game, and mixed with the different characters you have tons of options. It makes the movement a-lot more fluid, and the controls just make more sense to me. In fact I own it on Steam, but I use Rainway to cast it to my Apple TV, and use a controller there. I found that to be a lot more comfortable. It's extremely hard! I highly recommend using a controller over mouse and keyboard. The game is extremely fast paced, and if you're anything like me when it comes to these kind of games. You start with one character available, and when you beat a boss on level 3 you will unlock them. ![]() There are tons of different spells that you can use. You spells may hit in a 2x2 grid or a single tile. You fight in a 4x4 grind, and you can move 1 square at a time. Each time you win a battle you can pick up a new spell card. The core gameplay loop is to progress through the end by winning your battles. It plays like a bullet hell, with the added effects of something like Slay the Spire. I would call it a bullet hell Deck building game. I was quite disappointed with the December 2020 bundle, but then I found this gem. One Step from Eden is a hidden gem that I have never heard about until it hit humble bundle for this month. ![]()
